Once upon a time, I dreamed of a career in academia. I was, ever so briefly, Research Assistant to a psychology professor at the West University of Timișoara. This is the one and only scientific article I ever helped produce:
The effectiveness of controlled interventions on employees’ burnout: A meta‐analysis
This paper aimed to aggregate a number of studies of different interventions to counter burnout for specific professional groups and identify which (if any) showed immediate and long-lasting effectiveness. The gist of it? It takes more than coloring books and meditation to tackle something like that.
Fancy APA-compliant citation below. I’m the one with the funny name.

I’ve also been researching paracosms for more than a decade, with a focus on how imaginary worlds from one’s childhood are carried into adult life. I may gather all that in a book someday. For now, it’s just for my own curiosity, but I’m happy to share what I’ve learned, so drop me a line if you’d like to know more.
